Take Kubfu out for a little day trip, Mustard said, it would be fun. It was fun, up until a trainer caught her right outside Stow-on-Side and struck up a conversation about art or whatever, which Klara tried very hard to listen to with a squirming pokemon in her arms. So she set him down, smiled, nodded, and hummed along until the conversation was over and she realized Kubfu was gone.
He couldn’t have gone far, but then again there were so many places he could be. And with the cliffs... Klara was about to drown in dread. If she lost that Kubfu for good she would never forgive herself. But the thought of never being able to find the little guy again was paralyzing.
If only she could get some help—another pair of eyes— from someone who knew Stow-on-Side better than she did. It was a stroke of luck to spot a little kid in dark clothes near the entrance of the town, quickly identifying him as Allister. On one hand, the thought of asking someone, specifically a child to help fix her mess was embarrassing, but on the other hand if she didn’t find this Kubfu she was done for. Klara huffed, swallowed her pride, and quickly stepped her way towards him.
“ H-Hey, Allister. You wouldn’t have happened to see a little Kubfu running around here have you ? Little guy just loves exploring, I’m having a spot of trouble trying to find him ... “
