I will forever be upset about people shitting on Lawrence for not coming back for Adam. I desperately wanted him to come back to, but do you seriously think he could?????
HE CUT HIS FUCKING FOOT OFF. You can't recover from that quickly. By the time he recovered enough to walk, Adam probably would've been dead even if Amanda hadn't mercy-killed him.
Also, there's NO WAY John would let him go back even if he could walk. John would probably say something like "he already lost his game. He's as good as dead already. You cannot save him." He probably informed Lawrence once Adam had actually died due to Amanda to shut him up about rescuing him.
Lawrence probably talked about Adam a lot while he was recovering, and that might factor in to why Amanda went to kill him. She knew Lawrence wouldn't recover in time to help him, so she might as well speed up the process.
Lawrence didn't intentionally lie, he physically COULDN'T go back for Adam.
