Hey! So I'm starting T in a month and I need some advice on how to come out to my boss. From what I can tell, she's really open-minded about LGBT stuff. Any advice would be extremely welcome! Thank you in advance!
If you feel confident that coming out will not get you fired or something along those lines, I suppose you could send her an email and come out to her.
I’ve personally always liked the written word better for situations like this, because it allows you to take the time you need to phrase yourself correctly, and also gives her the time she needs to process it without needing to be all up in your face about it.
If any of my followers have any other advice or suggestions, please feel free to add to this post.
Submitting for Help
I have my intake appointment to start taking T in five days. I’ve told my parents that I was trans and told them that I was going to start transitioning. After that initial conversation, it was never brought up again and my parents refuse to use my chosen name or my pronouns. I am not currently in the position to move out and I am extremely worried about what will happen when I actually do start T.
I'm ftm, and I'm ready to come out to my parents. I have the letter written, but I know my parents, and I am 99% sure that they will not be okay with it. I am 18 and I have 2 jobs. I am waiting to be completely financially sound before giving it to them. As soon as I can, I'm moving into my own apartment. They've said that I can live there as long as I was in school, but with their track record, they will most likely kick me out.
So, I would like some advice on how to deal with being completely cut off from my parents. I've never been away from my parents. I don't really know how to deal with this
Well first of all I’m glad you’re prepared. It sucks that you have to be becuse they won’t accept you but I am glad that you have at least thought about everything. It’s going to be rough being completely cut of from the people you have known for your entire life but good things come to those who are smart and I think you just need good close friends who can help you feel less lonely You need to keep busy in order to kind of get over the fact that youll no longer have parents. it’s kind f like a break up in those regards
