1. Fred is 100% embarrassed by anything even remotely cute that Tadashi does. Quiet sneeze? Forget about it, Fred will be hiding behind a pillow for two hours. Because why the hell is his boyfriend so damn cute? That’s not even fair for gods sakes. He’s not allowed to be sexy, smart, adorable, talented, fantastical, and cute. That’s just absurd.
2. It took them a full year after they each realized their own feelings to admit it to the other, because both were terrified that they were going to mess up their friendship. Because to them, their friendship has always, and will always, be more important. Fred made Tadashi sign a contract that if they ever broke up, Tadashi was forced to, even if begrudgingly, still be his friend. This was done on a napkin but is still legally binding and Fred keeps it in his nightstand.
3. Christmas is littler the worse time of the year for these two. They both want to by the other presents, but due to certain issues, they have placed a budget on one another. No more than $200 per person. Which puts Fred as a serious in-pass, because he wants to spoil Tadashi and make him the happiest he can, and because of how he was raised, despite knowing money doesn’t buy happiness, it buys Tadashi presents, and Tadashi deserves presents to prove how wonderful he is. So the two end up pouting at one another for two weeks before they just hand make something because both want to go over the limits.
4. Pinkie promises mean the world to them. When Fred expects Tadashi to do something, much like a three year old, he makes him swear on their locked pinkies, which then get kissed by both party members. Fred makes Tadashi pinkie promise that every night he goes out to do something dangerous, he comes back to him. This is often the reason Tadashi just rolls his eyes and smiles at him, but the pinkie promises have secretly grown on him, and he knows that if he, or Fred, break one of these promises, it would loose a lot of trust that would need rebuilt.
