Ezra's played Moonlight Sonata, by Beethoven, a thousand times before. But there's something different about today. His fingers stroked the keys a little more softly, the crescendos and decrescendos were just a bit more dramatic, the ritardandos were a little more drawn out. He was making music. He felt like today was the day something beautiful would happen. And until he saw the boy with the blue eyes, he thought he himself would be the one to make that beautiful thing happen. No. He stopped on a chord in the middle of the page and watched him pass by the window. He shook his head, curls bouncing about on his head, and continued to play. But he played a little louder, hoping he'd hear.

Scott had been walking along the beach, not really caring where he was going, he just liked walking. He had gone quite a distance when he noticed he didn't know where he was. He bit his lip hard, turning around a bit and deciding that maybe if he just kept walking he'd find his way back eventually. After a bit more walking he stumbled upon something he didn't really think existed. It was a mermaid. Or rather, a merman. He didn't take another step closer, instead hiding behind some rocks so he could study the creature from afar.
