Hi guys! love your work!! I was just wondering how often you updated your fic searches? because I was scrolling through them trying to find a specific one to reply to (#152) when I realised that another I replied to ages ago didn't get updated (#144) and there was another time I replied to a post with a question and didn't get a response. (which is fine. it wasn't important) I guess I'm just worried that it's a technical difficulty?
depends… if you sent us a message then we probably updated the fic search, no matter how old it is. If we didn’t, then the message didn’t reach us.
But if it’s an old fic search and you use the reply function instead of a message, then it’s highly likely that we won’t see it so we won’t update it. The person who searches for the fic can see it through the notes though, so it’s not like it’s lost.

on occasion, a fic search reply will be deleted because someone links to a fic with a banned topic, the same for anonymous asks. But most of the time, as Niki said, they just get eaten by tumblr.
