Immediately, she regretted it as the burning hot liquid hit her tongue, effectively wiping out those tastebuds for the remainder of the day. Eira glanced around, scoping out her scenery for anyone potentially staring at her. Negative. With a slight turn of her heel, she set off on her path to the bus stop, removing a single glove in the process. The soft snow hit her bare skin and, rather than melting, stuck there. Snow should be cold, right? But it wasn’t to her. She looked at it for a second as it built a thin layer on her skin. One more quick glance around and she placed her bare hand against the cup. With a slow exhale out, she looked away, not wanting to draw attention by being the weird girl staring at her cup. She felt the snow begin creeping along her skin towards the cup, but it didn’t melt from the heat. Her gaze shifted back to the cup in enough time to see the beautiful web of frost  forming from where her hand was along the sides. Instantly, she could feel the warmth from the cup fade. Perfect temperature. The thin layer of ice was still on her cup but she hoped it would melt before anyone noticed.

She ducked under the awning by the bus stop, escaping from the “cold” snow like everyone else crowding under there. She slipped her glove back on quickly and took a sip of her drink. Leaning against the glass wall of the small shelter as she waited for the bus.
