Just want to share something the Lord reminded me of today: Most of us think we need to get thru the storm ourselves in order to meet Jesus, as if He's on the other side leaving us to struggle on our own. So far from the truth! In Matthew 14:22-32, we see Jesus met His disciples in the middle of a life-threatening storm (v. 24). In fact, after letting them know it was Him for their comfort (v. 27), Jesus was standing in the middle of the storm and commanded His disciple Peter to focus on Him only, and meet Him where He was (v. 29). We all have "storms" and life circumstances that can overwhelm us. But I tell you today that Jesus is in the middle patiently waiting and encouraging you to trust Him. You may feel doubt, anxiety, fear; even Peter got distracted and took His eyes off The Lord (v. 30). As Peter knew he was sinking, He cried out for The Lord to save him. Jesus reached down and caught Him and asked Him why did He doubt? (v. 31) Like bruh why'd you doubt in the first place? You know who I Am?! (Lol but for real tho). The God who is in control of all creation! - First the rebuke of Peter's lack of faith, then Jesus extends His hand of grace! One thing we have in common with Peter is that we wait until we're "sinking" to call on The Lord. He's there calling out to us way before that even happens but the troubles of life help remind us that we desperately need Him. He is bigger than your storm. He never said we wouldn't have them, but He does promise this to those who trust Him - He will meet you in the middle and help you get through, and everything will work out for the good of those who love Him! 1.) He knew your storm was coming before it showed up. 2.) He's right there with you in the middle of the storm. 3.)
