A series of video games yours truly LOVES so very much! 😄🙏🏻 Every Living man, woman, and child experiences loneliness at some point in their lives.......true loneliness. A feeling one gets when others don’t seem to understand you, or when you’re unable to communicate whatever it is that troubles you, as Mr.Jung has theorized so eloquently! 🧐 David Hoover struggles with the guilt of abandoning his beloved mother in a mental institution, and the fact that he’s too kind and selfless to a fault. Sophie Grundler suffers from severe insomnia, which was the result of her being constantly bullied by her one-time “friend” (and her buddies), having a “best friend” whose too scared to aid Ms.Grundler in her time of need, and a father whose neglected his dearest daughter after her beloved mother’s passing. Keith Baring is a dedicated criminal investigator whose also neglected his loving wife, Helena, after their son’s tragic death, and is faced with the possibility of Helena leaving him for good. And William ‘Will’ Morton is faced with a multitude of problems, specifically his inability to cope with his own insecurities, lacking self-confidence, and having no one who truly understands him, but his rat friend “Pop” of course. It’s the essence of any good thriller that, for a little while, you believe in the boogeyman.” (John Carpenter) - Fear is what would befall Keith & Helena Baring, a once happy couple who’ve suffered great loss, and the rest of their tourist buddies, as they enter a castle far in the countryside that carries a dark history and a “monster” in the 2018 released Survival-Horror/Puzzle-solving video game, “The Boogie Man” (Windows). 😃👹 Being the 3rd Chapter in a series of tales, which when combined is referred to as “The Strange Man” series, the 2nd Chapter (The Sandman) I’ve not played, mind you......but fear not, for I will, believe it!!! 😁 Like its’ predecessor, “The Crooked Man” (2018), the game while having strong elements of horror, suspense, and insane thrills (oh they are! Haha), its’ true strength lies in the heart and soul of the tale told. That tale being the fractured bond of Keith & Helena Baring, the former of who we experience the horror unfold through his point-of-view. They’ve suffered such a tragic loss, which caused Keith to become very neglectful to Helena whose not as strong as her husband is, and so she clings to him in her times of need. The guilt of doing so pains her, but what Helena doesn’t realize is that Keith isn’t as “strong” as she thinks he is. He too is in great pain but cannot seem to show it. His greatest balance, his last form of hope, his remaining sense of happiness.....is Helena, his beloved wife. Their love was so sweet, tender, and heartwarming, the kind of sincere love I’m a HUGE sucker for, especially within a Horror setting! 💑💘 David Hoover (yes, he’s back!) & Shirley Webber, another married couple, Richard & Sophie Grundler, a father/daughter duo, and Lance Kanal (L.K.), an opportunistic photographer, each of them work very well as supporting players in the nightmare they endure. 😁👊🏻 Overall #TheBoogieMan was a really good horror game with plenty of challenging puzzles to solve, and a really heartwarming human story at the center of it, which once again, I’m a huge sucker for, trust me.....I am! 😄🤘🏻 #TheBoogieMan #TheStrangeManSeries #Chapter3 #FracturedLove #SurvivalHorror https://www.instagram.com/mrgamer990/p/BsMY1hljrZ_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=t329ydwleta8
