Sarees had been an integral part of my life when I was serving as an educator in Assam. Every night before retiring to bed I used to select the saree or mekhela chadar, blouse and matching earings that I would wear the next day. Also, I used to make the plates of the pallu, pin it and keep it aside. That was quite a work for me. After shifting to Delhi I was happy thinking that I got rid of ths saree thing ultimately. But the craze of buying saree with ma was still alive and receiving saree as gift was still the ultimate joy. You can take an Indian woman out of India but you can't take out the saree sentiment out of her, right! π Even though I do not get to wear it much I was so much into sarees that I buy and ask mother to wear them. Collection of a new saree is so satisfying that it brings up all the happiness of being a #bharatiyanari . Thus, when I saw #21sarees21days challenge by #thebohobalika I had not given a second thought to share pictures. I am already 7 days late though I would love to show my collections. This one is #chikenkari saree that my parents bought from Banaras for me. π I will share a saree story related to me with every posts. So, stay tune and keep showing your love. π€β€ . . #handmadeinindia #prebuylocal #prebuyhandloom #handloom #handmade #weavesofindia #craftscouncilofindia #sareelove #lovedrapingsaree #21days21sarees2 #chikenkariwork #lucknowisaree # https://www.instagram.com/p/CC_ZFVfg4Vt/?igshid=x17gwov8u6ks
