What if parents gifted their kids with stocks, tools related to financial education, black owned items, a life insurance policy, tax free investment accounts, passing down a business... Something that won’t require them to beg from a system that was never built for them when they become of age? Something that won’t depreciate in value by Friday. Something that will leave them with financial freedom if (God forbid) something happens to the parent. “We love our kids” but a lot of us are raising consumers, not owners. And there’s no leadership in consumerism. Don’t get me wrong, the holidays are cute + toys and clothes are fine, but how are we preparing our youth for their future???
