Dawn gritted her teeth as the bullet pierced her skin. She quickly placed pressure on her shoulder as Jason ran over to her. “And you’re an idiot for leaving yourself open like that. He was aiming straight for your head.” she snapped at him as she closed her eyes to focus on her breathing. The blonde needed something to distract her from the pain.

An eyebrow raising to the comment, she softly laughed. Last time they saw each other, that wasn’t the impression she had. Some people are more suited for eternity. Dorian wasn’t exactly first in line. But “I see.” Nodding a little, it amused her somehow. “I hope you’re not leaving piles of corpses for me to have to move again. I kinda like living here.” She doubted he’d be so thoughtful, but it was worth the shot.
