Oooh, it’s been a while since I have done one of these! #bookcovercoordinated earrings are back! I needed a project to take to open studio time at @lansingartgallery and I fell in love with this book over the holidays, so it ended up at the top of my short stack of books to design earrings for. This is another one of those designs that I had a lot of doubts about while I was beading, but could hardly have been more pleased once they were done. I am especially happy that this was a good project for some of the great vintage bugle beads I keep picking up at the bead store. Poor little vintage beads were made decades ago and never got to fulfill their purpose, but now they get to be earrings! . . $42, includes free shipping to the U.S. On niobium earwires, so very hypoallergenic. Let me tell you something. It was a weird month when it comes to reading. I didn't like anything I have read. I didn't hate it, but there wasn't any book that left me speachless or knocked me out of my shoes. Including this book. It is a very weak 3⭐ read. I don't know is it me or actual books, but what I know is that I desperately need a good book to read!!!! . . Good thing is I remebered to take photo before I finished my coffee. I usually drink turkish coffee, because it has amazing taste and smell. But today, I was a bit lazy, so instant it is. that’s unavailable right now! i only do a couple journal commissions every few months so you have to act fast if you want one. i’m just usually too busy or don’t feel like it or my arm is not doing well enough to do traditional art

I have a huge problem with that "first page sketch" because I always think that it's the FIRST thing someone will see IF they open my sketchbook (I say "IF" because I don't let just anyone take a look) and I get crippled by that thought
hahaha, I lifehacked that problem when I was 15. I used to draw SUPER fucked up comics of my favorite celebrities and characters killing eachother in this hunger games-esque flag-tag competition where no rules applied. My step-mom was kind of a nazi, and I knew she would go over it w/ my father and shame the SHIT outta me and destroy it if she found it, so in the front page to halfway of the book, I wrote journal-like entries, w/ some random bible verses and biology notes. INNOCENT HARDY BOYS/NANCY DREW BEHAIVIOR parents would wanna see. And on the upside-down second page from the back, I just went nuts. Lindsay Lohan skins Simon Cowell alive, Oprah Winfrey summoned cars from the skies to squash hundreds, Vin Diesel gets his nipples ripped off by a pec-flex-powered machine, it was absolute CHAOS and NO ONE EVER KNEW because NO ONE thought to turn the book upside down and read from the back!!
