As Asriel stepped out, he finally saw the beauty of the surface for the first time. The sun, the rippling water, the villages, and cities, forests as far as the eye could see, and humans. He couldn’t take it all in. He felt a comfortable, and happy. He looked behind him at his old home, and there he saw a small cave opening, with the only way out, the doorway. The mountain which it led into kept on going, higher, and higher. This, unmistakably, was Mt. Ebott. It was colossal, and went on and on. Asriel turned back to the view, and looked at the platform he was standing on. It was like a path, which led down the mountain, all the way to the bottom. Trees lined the sides of them and curved over the path like an archway. An archway to a new life.

Asriel started down the path, starting to realize how steep it was. He didn’t manage to get very far, before tripping over a stone, and tumbling to the bottom. He rolled halfway down the whole mountain, and was suddenly stopped by some creature in front of him. Asriel could hear some clunks and crashes, and by the time the sounds had stopped and Asriel had re-opened his eyes, he felt his soul take a sudden jolt upwards, and a crash back down.

PART 2 DONE Woop the health bar was annoying to do. And the numbers don’t even make sense, and the health bar is saying its below 40 HP and yet the numbers say 67 HP. Welp, that’s annoying. Might fix that later. But, that's the end of part two of the flashback story. I have planned a few more parts, and then it gets juicy ;)

I hope, anyways. Edit: New name folks! Altertale already existed (I didn’t know... sorry creator of that AU. It’s really good.), so now it’s called ‘Underscape’! 

Light shone in from the doorway. This, he just realized, used to be the barrier. Flowey looked around unbelievably. He remembers destroying the barrier with the power of the souls, and then Frisk calling out his name. That was all he remembered. He took a look around him, and realized, he had legs. He had legs, and not only that, arms, and fur.

“I’m... Me again... Asriel! But that can’t be!”  

he was taken back by what he could do, and he just realized, he finally had a soul, and then to his relief, he could feel emotions! He felt happy, sad, stressed, and confused, all which gave him a slight headache, but, yet, he was happy. Flowey, Asriel, took a glance around him. The hallway where the barrier was empty, and Asriel could see from where he stood the doors which lead back into the throne room, of his father. 

“I wonder what happened to him... Mom? Dad? Anyone there? anyone at all?”

He wanted to go back to the throne room, to see what had changed since the barrier. He never realized how long he was out for, so this was something he was worried about too. At the same time, his will to go to the surface was unbearable. Asriel slowly walked over to the doorway, and leaned out into the sunlight.
