type of bed: Most her life Nami slept in shitty beds, so she's really particular about her bed. She loves a nice, big spacious space to sleep, even if she ends up spooning someone in the middle. On the Sunny she shares a bed with Robin and with the exception of @drheartxstealer she's really big on making sure she sleeps in her bed as a power move. Law is different because he's captain and has an entire room to himself anyway and because she doesn't have to feel bad about kicking Robin out when she technically doesn't have to. She does still make sure to stay the night once or twice a week for snuggle time with Robin and Chopper and @cnigiri's Zoro because he needs his snuggle time too even though he won't admit it.
number of blankets: Nami is big on comfort, but she also tends to overheat so she sleeps on more blankets than she actually uses over her. If she's particularly hot she will sleep with just a sheet on and sometimes she will just nap on top of all the covers without a blanket at all.
number of pillows: Many pillows. 2 sideways with one between them is her favorite and if her back is sore or if its that time of the month she might put a pillow between her legs as well. Sometimes she will snuggle a little pillow too because it feels like snuggling Chopper. If she's staying the night with a male partner, often times their chest will become her pillow so she can fall asleep to the sound of their heartbeat.
type of clothing: Usually tank tops and short shorts, unless it's cold then she might wear some cute flannel button up. On occasion she might wear a large overside t-shirt and panties only, especially if she can snag clothing from a partner. With @drheartxstealer she doesn't wear any clothing to bed, because what is the point?
does it matter where they sleep?: Yes, she is incredibly particular now about sleeping (mostly) on beds, unless she's grabbing a nap on a couch/partner/friend on their lap or shoulder for a bit. She will, of course also sleep on large mink's.
what do they do if they cannot fall asleep?: Journal or read is her go to, if she really can't sleep or go back to sleep in the event of a nightmare she might get tea or work on a project. There are occasions where she might call it a lost cause and just stay up and keep whoeever is on watch/up early or in the dead of the night company.
frequent dreams, nightmares: Her most frequent dreams are one's where Bellemere is still alive, often where she recognizes it's not right and that she should be dead. She very often dreams of her early times with Arlong where sleep was incredibly difficult and she often spent most nights awake in the dead of night. Sometimes she finds herself back in that space often as an adult or at Coco Village, having conversations with people that never existed on the island as far as she's aware of. She often has dreams about running or sneaking away from people pursuing her for what she did. A lot of these types of dreams aren't as strong as they used to be, especially the nightmares, but she does still have nights where she will wake in a cold sweat. The most frustrating dreams she has is where she's trying to get somewhere or meet someone and can't- something keeps getting in the way or she loses her way. Losing her way is the most frustrating because she knows how to find her way around and has never truly felt lost before in that sense. When she's incredibly stressed she has dreams about things happening to her nakama and loved ones. It varies, sometimes it's the marines, sometimes it's nature and other times it just doesn't make sense. Right now in her main verse with @drheartxstealer she's having a lot of dreams about Bellemere in particular.
deep slumber or naps: A little of both. She's pretty particular about getting her eight hours of sleep in, so if she doesn't for whatever reason she might grab a nap. On lazy or particularly eventful days (or on occasion when she's mad and needs to rest it off) she might take longer naps.
when do they sleep: For as long as she can remember she's kept a pretty particular routine of sleeping 11pm-7am and mostly keeps this routine unless someone on the crew needs to switch watch with her or if there's something particular she wants to do/see at night (like a meteor shower or watch the sunrise). She is willing to adjust this and take naps for these events or if she stays up drinking/partying with the crew, but she tends to still wake up at 7am regardless of how late she goes to bed. Days like this is where she will usually catch her nap.
what could wake them up: She will wake at her typical time automatically, but she's a lighter sleeper than she would like to be from years of looking over her shoulder. Loud noises or people talking near the door while she's sleeping will always wake her up. She has a really good sense for trouble as well, so there are occasions she will wake up and just know someone did something stupid on the ship.
