Taylor Swift Donates $50K to 11-Year-Old With Cancer

No one takes care of their fans quite like Taylor Swift. 

The 25-year-old singer managed to outdo herself after learning about 11-year-old fan Naomi Oakes, who was diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia on June 25. The little girl was planning to attend Swift’s August 18 concert with her best friend in Phoenix, Arizona, but plans changed after her diagnosis. Instead, she’ll be spending that time — and the 6-9 months around it — in the hospital facing aggressive treatment. 

As she preps to face the cancer head-on, she’s chosen Swift’s “Bad Blood” as her fight song. 

Naomi’s family made a video telling her story and, with the help of Taylor Nation, just two days after it was uploaded to YouTube, the “Shake It Off” singer donated $50,000 to Naomi’s GoFundMe page writing, “To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I’m sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let’s focus on getting you feeling better. I’m sending the biggest hugs to you and your family."

Ciara and Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson may be one of today’s hottest new couples, but there’s one thing they aren’t doing: each other. 

Wilson opened up during a Q&A session on Sunday at The Rock church in San Diego about his new relationship and their decision to abstain while they’re dating. “God spoke to me, and said, ‘I need you to lead her,’” Wilson shared with the crowd. “So I told her right then and there. I asked her, ‘What would you do if we took all that other stuff off the table, and did it Jesus’s way?’” The football star added, "If you can really love somebody without that, then you can really love somebody.” Wilson admitted that while Ciara agreed, it hasn’t been easy. “I need y'all to pray for us,” he joked, calling the “I Bet” singer a “15 out of 10." 

Ready for another Justin Bieber apology? 

Last Monday, the Biebs posted a pic to Instagram while on vacation in Bora Bora, showing him standing on the deck of a boat overlooking the ocean in the buff. The pic, which depicted his bare butt, made quite a few headlines and had some fans up in arms. “Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams was among those to express her problems with the pic, pointing out that many of his fans are “really young” and he should have been more “considerate” of that. 

On Saturday, Bieber removed the photo from his page and posted an apology to anyone he offended. “Hey I Deleted the photo of my butt on Instagram not because I thought it was bad but someone close to me’s daughter follows me and she was embarrassed that she saw my butt and I totally wasn’t thinking in that aspect,” he wrote. “And I felt awful that she felt bad. To anyone I may have offended I’m so sorry." 

Susan Sarandon is proud that her son blurs the lines when it comes to gender roles. 

The actress and LGBTQ advocate, spoke to People magazine on Monday at TrevorLIVE, an event in support of LGBTQ youth, and explained how her own children see beyond gender stereotypes. “My son Miles is a musician and a DJ and sometimes when his band performs, they all wear dresses, and he has long hair,” Sarandon said. 

The mom of three says raising her kids in New York City allowed them to gain a better appreciation for diversity. “I wanted to raise my kids in New York because, as a privileged kid, I think you can become very isolated and at least if you’re privileged, you should understand you’re privileged, and not take it for granted,” she explained. “I was just not vigilant or talented enough to have done it successfully in Los Angeles."

The 34-year-old reality star recently traveled to New Orleans with her friends, Jonathan Cheban, Simon Huck, and makeup artist Joyce Bonelli, but in between chowing down on beignets, the bombshell made time to celebrate a fan’s special birthday and snap a few selfies. 

So what did they two talk about? A lot, according to the fan. “Kim is really my friend now,” she tweeted (Myleeza has also spent time with Kim at Kanye West’s concert in NOLA in December 2013). “Today confirmed it definitely. She gave me SO much tea on everything imaginable. Like real friends do!" 

And the day was almost perfect… until some of Kim’s other fans got upset hearing that she had a "favorite” follower. 

Kim quickly put out the fire, taking to Twitter to clarify her remarks. “When I said @MyleezaKardash was my fave I meant it because you are all my favorites!!!! I love you all the same!” she tweeted. “I see all of the tweets & instagrams whether I follow u or not! They give me life!!!! I didn’t mean to offend anyone by calling her my fave." 

Sofia Vergara attended the Magic Mike XXL premiere in Hollywood on Thursday night with her fiancé, Joe Manganiello, but was met with a sea of pro-life protesters holding banners and signs begging the Modern Family star to give her much discussed frozen embryos a chance for survival. 

“Sofia: Unfreeze your daughters, Unfreeze your heart,” read one sign while another proclaimed, “Lives Created Should Be Lives Protected." 

Sofia and her ex-fiancé, Nick Loeb, have been locked in a bitter legal battle over the two frozen embryos they made while they were still together and going through in-vitro fertilization in 2013. Hoping to gain control of the embryos and raise the children himself, Nick took the private fight public with an op-ed in the New York Times and appearance on the Today show. 

"Two lives have already been created. I wouldn’t just toss them aside no different than a child that had been born,” he told Hoda Kotb. 

The former couple signed a contract with the fertility clinic at the time that states the embryos “could only be brought to term with both parties’ consent." 

Ed Sheeran Gets Giant Lion Tat on His Chest

Ed Sheeran is adding another tattoo to his collection — and it’s big. 

The 24-year-old singer shared a pic of himself on Tuesday while getting a massive lion inked on his chest — captioned “Halfway and ouch” — to commemorate his trio of sold-out shows at London’s Wembley Stadium this summer. “Originally I was going to get the floor plan tattooed on my side, but that seemed a bit ridiculous,” Sheeran told the BBC of his decision to go with the lion, which is the logo for the English national football team. 

But this is just one of Ed’s many tats, many of which mark some of his hit singles, achievements, and collaborations. He’s even dedicated ink to his closest friends like Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.
