Headcanon: uma das experiências químicas amalucadas de Micky quase levou a pobre casa de madeira dos Monkees pelos ares. Abalado ao ver os rapazes desesperados tentando reanimar o músico/cientista inconsciente e ferido, o histérico senhorio, Sr. Babbitt, desistiu de despejar os meninos pela enésima vez. E na primeira oportunidade em que a casa ficou vazia, o proprietário, perfeitamente consciente de que o baterista desobedeceria a proibição de produtos químicos perigosos dentro de casa, colocou o extintor na porta. Mike, valendo-se da prerrogativa de líder da banda, e de seu infalível humor negro, colou uma placa na parede, ao lado do equipamento de segurança: "EM CASO DE INCÊNDIO, CORRA!". Headcanon: one of Micky's crazy "experiments" nearly made the Pad blow up in pieces. Mr. Babbitt was determined to make that the last time when the Monkees made any "damage" to his property, but changed his mind as soon as he saw the other sick-worried boys tending over the wounded and unconscious Micky, giving up on the idea immediately. Knowing very well that the drummer/ chemist would never obey the prohibition against any damgerous chemical products indoors, Mr. Babbitt took advantage of the first opportunity when he saw the Pad empty, and provided a fire extinguisher for the house. With his privilege as bandleader, and his usual deadpan humor, Mike decorated the fire extinguisher with an appropriated sign: "IN CASE OF FIRE, RUN!"
