The Lunchbox
Mixed Media on Paper
I watched the 2013 Hindi film The Lunchbox last night and it was a really great movie. I love movies that offer insights into other peoples lives. About their basic connections and what it's like going through the motions. It's such a sincere story but also had me really really interested the entire time
For anybody interested it's a film about a wife making lunch for her husband but it goes to the wrong place. In Mumbai there is a complicated system for lunchbox deliveries from home and restaurants for people. A rare mistake happened and an older widower gets her lunchbox.
They start to exchange letters via the lunchbox back and forth sharing about life and honesty. And things start to get a little crazy since her husband is neglectful. It's a really sincere and interesting film I really really loved it highly recommend! (Its on Sundance streaming. A few places for rent. But I was able to use my library app to watch it for free!)
