#the forgotten queue

Papyrus doesn’t hate puns. He only pretends to hate them because it’s his brother saying them, but he secretly enjoyes them. I get this idea from when Papyrus tells Sans something about not liking the jokes, Sans says “but you’re smiling” and Papyrus says “I am and I hate it.”

That sounded nice. A wife and a kid? That was proof that they were right; Bashful wasn’t an anomaly. There were dwarf women, and dwarfs were meant to fall in love just as humans did. Nice sounded good … but Arthur was shaking. Arthur wasn’t okay, so Aiden waited.

What Arthur said next terrified him and shocked him. That much blood? “Do … do you think that’s what Bossy did? To our families?” They all must have had a family … and they all must have lost it. Had Bossy killed them all? “Arthur …” Remembering something like that? It must be horrible.

Robert nodded slowly. Two lifetimes. It was too many. He almost felt like he’d lived three, what with his life as a pirate being so different from his life as a shepherd. He should have gone home to David sooner, shouldn’t he? He felt he’d failed his son; both of them.

“Oh well, I’m not a friend per say. I’m not sure what David thinks of me anymore. I … hope I could be a friend to him. Or … something. Just something.” He’d ruined the chance to be a father, hadn’t he? Friend even felt like too much to hope for. Maybe he could just shoot for his son not hating him, and his son knowing the truth.

“Sure, I’d love a coffee … though maybe I shouldn’t. I’m not sure what David would feel, and I don’t want to encroach …” he took a deep breath. He had to tell her now. He couldn’t keep it hidden …

Just his voice seemed to have the power to bring a bit of color back into her face. Henry was still nervous, but she seemed to do better with him there. Even the nurse thought so!

He instantly went toward the chair the nurse had set out. “Thanks … she will be okay, right?” he questioned. His nerves were only slightly calmed by knowing she did better with him there. He still wasn’t sure if she’d survive or not, and he needed her to. Breaking the curse was a good thing! He couldn’t let it kill one of his favorite teachers of all time.

One of the best? One of the best what? He watched her curiously. One of the best adults? Had she seen him in her village before? But then she mentioned the princess, and confusion furrowed his brow.

“Little one … I’m afraid I don’t know what you mean.” He still took her hand in his, but the confusion never left his face. “What am I one of the best of? And have you met Snow before?” Were they talking best nobles? It was all confusing for him, but that confusion didn’t stop him from wanting to help this small girl.

Leopold nodded quietly. This mistake was difficult to fix then. Noon was a long time to hang out, especially when they’d planned on going straight home after getting the coffee.

“I really am sorry Arthur,” He repeated, one last time, before actually letting what Arthur was suggesting sink in.

At least his friend thought he was an okay driver. Parallel parking was apparently a strong suit of his. So at least he wasn’t totally hopeless at driving, even if he had made the mistake to lock the keys in the car. It seemed like it wasn’t the worst mistake he could have made anyway. At least the car was undamaged.
