Finally completed The Final Shape. That was a pretty sweet ending, ngl.
I have a theory about Destiny 2. It's kinda wild but just hear me out.
So way back in the Season of Dawn, we see our grave. And on top of our grave was a sword. Flash forward to the Final Shape, and we get that sword (Ergo Sum). Initially I thought the timeline we see our grave in was the one where we failed to stop the Witness (or we did and it cost us our lives).
But flash forward to now. I got some dialouge from Bael where he says he sees us dead at his hands, so why does our tomb remain empty? Combine this with the Seer shell lore where XI says because we make our own fate, our tomb will always remain empty.
Add to this: The Shattered Cycle leaks. We were supposed to bind ourselves to III and become the fated Weapon. But we go "nu uh" and bind it to the Traveler instead, which is why the Traveler would start to heal.
So here's my theory: The timeline where we see us in our tomb is the one where we decided to bind III to ourselves and fight the Winnower that way. We have the sword, our tomb gets mentioned a LOT all of a sudden. And who knows what binding would've looked like/what it would've done to us had we gone through it? Also to consider, we are the god slaying killing machine, but the Winnower would be like nothing we ever faced before.
So I've been having this idea, an AU where Lodi is present during the events of the Final Shape. But I'm curious as to what people think in terms of how he'd react/respond to the whole thing. Especially the "we nearly get got by the Witness in one fell swoop" scene.
Edit: I forgot to clarify I meant this in a romantic sense. Like "Lodi and the Guardian have been together for a while."
Those hive knight in Iconoclasm are so fucking scary. I messed up the first time and didnt get the second symbol because I was just so exited to be done with them and out of there and then when I killed them a second time and put in the right symbols the ogre launched me into space
T.T

The way zavalas voice sounds so soft and vulnerable when talking about Targe ohhhmygoshhhhh im gonna cry their soooo ughhhhh
The bond ghost and guardians have with eachother is my favoriteee
Playing The Final Shape rn and God this game is so beautiful
The hands and faces everywhere are horrifying tho. The tight hallways or passage filled with hands and faces are so unnerving. I love how destiny uses lighting for this campaign. I have so many screenshot I want to share and talk about how pretty this game is.
I just got to the part where targe gets grabbed by the witness.
New Final Shape cutscenes. Played Final Shape the other day and saw these beauties added to the end cutscene.
