Playing combat patrols is forcing me to actually be tactical lol
Nobody is really good at killing terminators. The psychopage is a decent enough tank, and he looks scary, but he can't eat a space marine well. Two squads of termagants don't accomplish much, though bringing them back endlessly is fun. The leapers are good, but again, can't take out terminators, not reliably. And the prime is good, but he's also only just one guy.
The barbgaunts are great though. 10/10 would shoot everything on the battlefield. Just gotta land a hit on a unit to do the movement nerf, which is real nice.
At the end of the day you just gotta focus down one squad at a time. Which... I haven't had to do before.
The extrovert is really gunning for me to play 2 games a week until I have things down pat. I appreciate him - I probably will, doing a little league thing right now anyway - but it's kinda amusing just how much he wants me to get into this.
