so now that i've read back to the future draft 1 (the earliest available draft) and found that marty to be very distinctly different, the next available script to peruse is a version of draft 3, dated july 11th, 1984.

big jump ahead from draft 1, dated february 24th, 1981.

just looking at the timeline of drafts i can already see that draft 3 marty is prone to stage fright. interesting!
