Truth Game
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā "Sometimes people lie to me."
@ofgoldenbloodā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ā Because they donāt want to make you sad, ā Jace assumed. He shuffled closer to Alec on the bed, completely ignoring the concept of personal space. It had weirded Alec out at first but by now he was used to Jaceās habit of getting closer than strictly necessary. Jace, too, had learned to dial it down a notch when it came to Alec and he kept his touches and caresses strictly non-sexual. Well, more or less strictly - and most of the time, anyway. Their silent agreement created a safe place that seemed to work fine for both of them and Jace felt more relaxed around Alec than he ever had around another person - before or after being admitted to the clinic.
ā Iāll never lie to you, ā he said, looking up to meet Alecās gaze. The older boy looked sleepy - no wonder, it had to be way past midnight - and vulnerable in a way that made Jace only want to snuggle up closer. He remembered the day he had first seen Alec and how he had thought that he was different from all of them. He also remembered the first time Alec hadĀ turned him down and how it had made him want to get to know him even more. ā Do youĀ trust me? ā
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Jace moved and Alec braced himself, it was an automatic reaction. He didnāt flinch like he used to, but he always took a second to figure out the intent behind the movement and this one seemed harmless enough. Sometimes when Jace got too close Alec was still afraid that he would let him. Not that he wouldnāt like it if he did cave in ( Alec was sure that it would be wonderful ), Jace was sweet, gorgeous and, as far as he knew,Ā an amazing lover, but that was exactly the core of the matter: the fact Alec knew so at all. It was hard not to know it considering Jace had slept with at least 10 different patients since Alec had arrived there, and every single one of his therapists.
Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Like him as he might, Alec wouldnāt be another notch on Jaceās bed post, that was clearly the last thing the blond needed, so he became his friend instead. Looking down at his bright mismatched eyes Alec was certainĀ that it had been the right decision. Do you trust me?Ā āDepends with what,ā he quipped, hands stretching down to lace their fingers together, a light squeeze reassuring Jace of his jest. āI trust youāll never lie to me," Alec decided, silence dragging between them in the comfortable way it only did when it was just the two of them in the sanctuary of Jaceās bedroom, āIāll never lie to you too.āĀ
