The centerpiece and most treasured grounds of the Territory is colloquially called "the Valley" - flat, green, soft-grounded and bountiful. Most Scattered cats live here, as well as the highest points of authority in the entire Clan. It's large enough that some landmarks cannot be seen from a distance, but cats often remark on how very open the sky is, and how far one can look on all sides.
Notable locations are as follows.
BOUNTYLANDS: The west part of the flat stretch contains the largest population of wanderers and warriors living alone. That's due to the area having so much prey and herbs that one rarely needs to worry about surviving without a support network. With guards frequenting this place, it's extremely peaceful, and the night sky is at its most beautiful here.
THE COBBLE: Strange stone structures supposedly made by forgotten spirits form a tiny cluster in the very middle of the Valley, with odd plants and powerful herbs being specifically "gardened" here. This is the home of the Leaders and their Deputies, and as such is fiercely protected from outsiders. Some joke about simply bringing in prey requiring multiple meetings and approvals from all Leaders. It's not quite a lie; the Leaders do not like to be disturbed for no reason, so they make sure everyone has a good cause to come and speak to them. It can get rather annoying for average warriors, though.
MARSHLANDS: Home of the Marish family, who also call this place the "Fenlands", or just "Fen". Streams and rivers and pools criss-cross through the tall grass and soft ground, with plenty of frogs, fish, waterbirds and more to hunt or observe. This place is endlessly green, but the pathways requiring lots of jumping or swimming to get to dry land makes it irritating to visit. One is expected to withhold their complaining, though. The Marish are tired of hearing it.
LAKE: The final, eastern border is a massive body of water that, while not nearly as large as the Sea, stretches far enough that it's almost impossible to see the land on the other side. No cat has ever managed to swim across, and the ones who try to walk around it are never seen again, if they don't give up quickly and come running home. Apparently, massive fish live in the Lake, big enough to swallow a cat whole. Even the Marish don't know for sure if that's true.
