Things are not great. We had 4 kittens before the panleukopenia, and now we have one kitten. It truly struck so fast. We lost one overnight at the vet. Another we took to the emergency vet as soon as we saw unusual behavior and they forced us to wait so long she declined and we had no choice but to humanely euthanize. We lost the third today, because we knew he was sick and too far into it to have good odds of recovery and we didn’t want him to suffer. The kitten we have left we never would have taken in had we known there would be a second outbreak.
She is by herself, in a room with all her needs, and I carry her to and from the room to my bed for cuddles and nap time. We gave her a vaccine immediately. Everyone please. Please say a prayer or send well wishes or vibes or whatever you believe in that she will be okay. We have a vet appointment for her Friday just to check her over. Please. Please send hope she’ll make it out healthy. I can’t take losing another like this, not after all our other babies.
