🖤July 13th marked my one year loc'd anniversary. Forgot to post a pic. This is my second attemp with locs. The first attempt was unsuccessful... mainly due to my not being fully committed. Its been an experience. The first thing was getting to the point where I embraced MY HAIR...not expecting my hair to look like YOURS, HERS, or HIS. I learned that I can admire another person's texture, size, length and etc., while still enjoying the uniqueness of my own. The second was choosing my products wisely. Build-up will ruin your locs!!!! Im working hard on prevention...still learning😩 My daughter says that I wash my hair too much...but I think every 1 1/2 to 2 weeks is fairly decent. Especially when working out. I don't retwist every time I wash though.
