The internet is a dangerous place!
So, as any traveller knows – a good quality backpack is a must. As anyone who likes saving money knows, there is a popular store that directly serves sports directly, with a furniture store style never ending sale on – even more if you shop online.
Lacking the required enthusiasm to visit one of their stores in person, I chose the much easier option of going online. Quickly, I found the few other items I needed, some flip flops, swimming shorts, cuddly toy and the like and got down to the task of selecting a backpack and while the range wasn’t exactly enormous, they had a lovely looking 65l Karimor marked down from £99.99 to £49.99 in a mostly blue. This looked appealing as I looked through the pictures available. It was at that point I spied a range of colours - military green & red. The red one marked down even further to a meagre £38– “MUST GO” the page beamed. Red is ok, I thought, I’d prefer the blue but red, England, it fits.
It arrives the next day with the plethora of other new belongings, with the deftness of a half drunk badger I carefully remove the plastic packaging – it’s pink. Pink, with pink bits and purplish grey straps. Pink wasn’t even a choice! The more I looked, the pinker it got! I looked back at the website “Carmine” it says, deep red.
So, if you ever see a big bloke with a big pink rucksack, be sure and tell him what a lovely Carmine bag he has!
