not to be that person that's like "the internet is a disease" but i really didn't start noticing that i became fixated on numbers until now when i joined instagram and the like and that's so..like..toxic?? ive seen people who revolve their lives around being the perfect person online and not allowing any room for imperfections and ive seen people have mental breakdowns over not having followers or getting enough people to view their content and that's honestly so scary. it's so scary that there's young girls and boys growing up and trying to achieve the image of their perfect selves online and it's so scary that there's a lot of insecurities that are born from social media and the like. we have young girls poking and prodding at themselves and believing they aren't enough because the what they saw on social media led them to believe such a thing and that's just..frightening, really. it's frightening to base your life around what others think of you online and it's even more terrifying to know that like there's no..privacy with things like this anymore. our first thought is to go online and idk if that's for better or for worse.
