Oh, you know what something did happen in my personal life!
I train in MMA and currently only compete in jujitsu/grappling tournaments, but one of my teammates has a cage match this month! I'm going (my family bought a whole table + his custom fuchsia T-shirts to match his hair) but depending on how I feel after this one, I might finally work up the courage to try to compete in a cage match of my own!
My big reason for having never competed in kickboxing/MMA until now is because of the punching and kicking (jujitsu is just twisting people into a pretzel, lol) but I think I might start training harder and maybe even want to possibly pursue a career out of it? Who knows, but the important thing is that I actually try it first!
It's not much, but for me it's a big thing I've been thinking about doing, but too scared to actively pursue. Honestly tho, I also want a big shiny champion's belt :D
Oh! >.< I missed this, I'm so sorry.
I'm cheering for you! That's amazing, getting the matching shirts and everything XD What support - I hope you find the courage you need to do your best.
I hope it turns out to be exactly what you enjoy and you thrive, and if you try it and find it's not your cuppa, then that's okay too =3
I would much rather regret having tried, than regret having let the chance pass me by. ^_^ Good luck!!
