He was both the smartest and stupidest person I've known. Absolutely brilliant of mind, but... well, he had little thought to spare for anything outside his ambitions. He put everything or nothing into whatever he did.

I despised him for a long time, but it is too tiring to continue such a vendetta when he is so long dead. Having seen so many young adults flounder in the world since, I have gained some understanding of his actions, though the memories still sting.
