A problem with how the pseudo canon framework they’re going off works is that their sometimes fringe interpretation of characters (so far only Kate’s vriska has kinda done this) come off as true for that character because it’s done in an official capacity and it’s confusing if that interpretation will be used for future content (therefore making it actually canon). Also Kate should probably pull a hussie and just not use Twitter, I like her but you shouldn’t make fun of your fans
