Burning for you
Story time with uncle Grant. I remember a long long time ago..maybe around the early 2000's. It was valentines day and I decided to cook dinner for my gf at the time. I wanted to "spice" things up and cut up habanero and jalapeno peppers for the pasta sauce. I was in a hurry and didn't think much about it and went for a pee in the loo. My whole crotch started to feel like it was on fire. I panicked. It felt like I spilled hot lava onto my genitals. I took off all my clothes and jumped in the tub and turned on the shower. Bad enough my groin was burning I ended up getting soap in my eyes. My gf came in to see me gently weeping..curled into a fetal position. Shower on...laying in the tub. The things I do for love.Â

Dean Martin "That's Amore" 1956
Intelligenza, carisma, buone maniere, serietĂ ... queste creano il fascino in una persona. Quindi tu sei affascinante.
Lui
"That's Amore," or Maybe just a slight case of Hunger (Week 4 Post 2)
I think there needs to be a food love story. There are many (I am not sure how many exact) stories of people comparing love to something edible or like the episode of Bones (S5 E8) "Foot in the Foreclosure," where couples feed each other while being together "Sir Mix-a-Lot plays on the sound system (of course) while little people feed noodles and other carb-heavy products to big folks. Jiggle, indeed. "Freaky," Hank says. The bartender explains the female victim used to party/ eat with a fat man named Hugo. Hank, meanwhile, boogies with the ample-sized ladies on the dance floor"Â http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1524955/synopsis
Dean Martin sings "That's Amore" - we all know the song, or should know...if you don't know the song, there is something not right about you. But anyways, in the song Martin relates the girl to food "When the moon hits you eye like a big pizza pie, That's amore" What? How is pizza pie love? "When the world seems to shine like you've had too much wine, That's amore." I think this would be because somebody might have had too much wine and is now intoxicated that's why the world is shining. But I get it, love has it's own intoxication that can only be best described by Harry Warren as drinking too much wine. "When the stars make you drool just like a pasta fazool, That's amore." I think Warren might have been just a tad hungry when he wrote this song. Who falls in love while looking at pasta fazool?? Unless they fall in love with the pasta fazool (then there is a whole new category of  dysfunction)...The only connection I can perceive about stars/love/food is that cliche saying, "her eyes shine like stars"..."her eyes shine like diamonds," star gazing with a picnic.
"When you dance down the street with a cloud at your feet, You're in love, When you walk down in a dream but you know you're not, Dreaming signore, Scuzza me, but you see, back in old Napoli, That's amore."  --- THIS, sounds more like something that should be related to when talking/singing of love. But to each their own version of love, no matter how cannibalistic it may sound. Â
