Have a topic you're passionate about? Want other people to think it's cool too? Here's the #1 thing you can do to help others become interested in that thing:
Do not make yourself into such an affront to common decency that people associate your behavior with that topic. All it does it encourage people to think that the thing you're passionate about deserves to be scorned.
Be passionate! Share your love for the topic when and if it comes up. But don't expect everyone to automatically agree with you. Accept that some people simple will not care or see any use for that thing in their lives. And do. Not. Force. The. Matter.
I can't believeve this is a thing that needs to be said.
