She comes in unannounced, as she usually does. Fern shouldn't mind it this time, she thinks, as she holds two bags worth of Valentine's themed candy. All of it gets dumped onto Fern's bed as Frieren begins to make herself comfortable shortly after. "I thought we could try all this together; there was a really big sale." No doubt clearance had already started in some stores, and Frieren was all too happy to oblige.
From her pocket, she retrieves a personalized card and hands it to the girl. On it she'd find two poorly drawn stick figures, one with purple hair and the other with white, holding hands and smiling. "I was going to buy a card, but I thought that this would be much more meaningful. Happy Valentine's Day, Fern."
ʚїɞ - Fern was still trying to get her own Valentine's plans together. She'd almost pulled an all-nighter working on something, and the bandages on her fingers were the scars from that battle. As much as she'd wanted to take a nap before the sun set and she had to go out, the sight of sugar rush in the making enchanted her away from her desk and perked her up a little. "Mistress Frieren..."
The drawings on the card were certainly rudimentary, but the elf was right. It was more meaningful. "Thank you. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it." She was always watching over her. And as much as she wanted to dive right into the snacks...
Before returning to the bed, she opened the drawer of her nightstand to pull something out and handed it to her master. It was a small book of bookmarks she had designed, featuring pressed flowers she'd found in the city because she knew how much flowers meant to Frieren. "...Admittedly, I was saving this for a different occasion, but now seems like a good time to give it to you."
