The Mistwood was an area he had never gotten a chance to explore last time, and thus the man made an effort to as soon as he was able; combing the forest to the best of his ability, even while the sword he held would have absolutely no use to him. You would think, then, that perhaps he would avoid trying to explore the castle of the Forest King without such defenses available to him; but unfortunately, Himmel's curiosity and need to see everything got the better of him, and.. well..

Now he was running through the trees.. trying to escape the Forest King himself! And in the midst of the woods, picking herbs and flowers just like the day he asked her to join his party, was..

"-- Frieren!"

A smile burst onto his features, even while he was still quite a distance from her; shouting at her as he got closer, and closer.

"Wonderful to see you! Have you been here this entire time? I'm afraid this reunion is a little poorly timed on my part, put perhaps you'd care to join me as I run away from here?"

Without warning, the moment he got closer to her, Himmel picked Frieren up into his arms; throwing her over his shoulder as he continued his escape.

"Come along, then!"

Like the traffic lights! The small elf was staring at them, and then started to walk, and... "H-Hey, wait!" Fortunately the half-elf had been close enough to close the distance between then. Crouching down, she placed both her arms under the smaller one's shoulders and lifted her into the air.

She managed to bring her back onto the sidewalk where Marcille set her down just in time, as traffic resumed seconds later and sped down the street.

"Phew... That was a close one." It was the stranger who had just been saved, yet Marcille was the one who had collapsed into a relieved pile on the ground.

Vivianne could easily spot the soft hues of the dress she made in the crowd of attendees. It hadn't taken her that long, but it was still a labor of love. Especially with how close to the deadline it had been. There's a smile on her face as she picks up the skirts of her dress - as she has been this entire evening when not on the dancefloor - and approaches.

Gwen trots obediently behind her trainer, tail and head held up high, as the pink haired seamstress stops next to Frieren. The Eevee had plopped herself down next to her Trainer as the other spoke.

"Mademoiselle Frieren, I'm so happy to see you here! The dress looks incredible. I hope it has held up well on the trip over here, non? Do I need to make any adjustments?"

From her pocket, she retrieves a personalized card and hands it to the girl. On it she'd find two poorly drawn stick figures, one with purple hair and the other with white, holding hands and smiling. "I was going to buy a card, but I thought that this would be much more meaningful. Happy Valentine's Day, Fern."

ʚїɞ - Fern was still trying to get her own Valentine's plans together. She'd almost pulled an all-nighter working on something, and the bandages on her fingers were the scars from that battle. As much as she'd wanted to take a nap before the sun set and she had to go out, the sight of sugar rush in the making enchanted her away from her desk and perked her up a little. "Mistress Frieren..."

The drawings on the card were certainly rudimentary, but the elf was right. It was more meaningful. "Thank you. I can tell you put a lot of thought into it." She was always watching over her. And as much as she wanted to dive right into the snacks...

Before returning to the bed, she opened the drawer of her nightstand to pull something out and handed it to her master. It was a small book of bookmarks she had designed, featuring pressed flowers she'd found in the city because she knew how much flowers meant to Frieren. "...Admittedly, I was saving this for a different occasion, but now seems like a good time to give it to you."

❝ Yay, more bommaAAAH WHY IS IT LIT?! ❞ Frantically, Vanth licks his fingers and snuffs out the fuse. (How'd he manage that?) Crisis averted!

ʚїɞ - "Mistress Frieren, it's already after 11am and you're still in bed?" It wasn't like she hadn't expected it after showing up to her home uninvited that morning. Consider it a "wellness check". And to see if she would still sleep in without Fern there. She failed that check.
