Today was my last day at work in Gettysburg, and I’ll be back home by this time tomorrow.  For nearly a week, I’ve felt my heart breaking about once a minute, thinking about how that was the last time I’ll see this coworker, this monument, this sunset, this place...until God knows when.  I feel like I’m leaving home, and I don’t know when I’ll be back.  It may be for years, and it may be forever...

I spent my Saturday (Wednesday, to most of the world) visiting Harpers Ferry. I dipped my hand in the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, and I stood where John Brown made his last stand. I haven't had many chances to get out of Gettysburg, but this was a really worthwhile one.

I spent my night with a few of the seasonal rangers, watching Master and Commander for the first time and. Holy shit. It's sO GOOD.

Hey! I got to live stream my Third Day program today on the Gettysburg National Military Park Facebook page. It's still up there, so you can go check it out if you want to see me doing my job. It was only the second time I've ever done this program, so I apologize for any and all suck.

Update from Gettysburg: all the monuments spit out Pokeballs and shit. There is a gym at the Father Corby monument. There are Pokemon all over town. My fellow interns are freaking out with happiness.
