Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me this. You sound so much like me. I was new to the fandom just two years ago (although not new to fanfic -- I was an OG X-Phile back in the day!) and had very similar reactions. I was blown away by the level of talent here, the kindness and the fun that everyone has. Reading fic (lovesbitc8!) inspired me to start writing and it's been such a journey from there. I'll be starting on an OC novel in the new year!
Fandom really does feel like a kind of home and has helped me through the pandemic and some shitty personal stuff.
Anyway, enough about me. I'm so glad it's done all this for YOU too. Especially the writing. That's so fucking exciting! You'll have to stop back by once you have something to share. And I'm very chuffed that you like the playlist. It really is a little snapshot in time for those who know, isn't it?
