He’s HERE!!!! Oh Tgn Sebastian I can’t to read up your emotional hurdles
Just curious but will we ever get a pov from the Twin’s view? I was wondering what his big plan was if the accident didn’t occur or he stayed alive regarding his relationship with Ciel, are they all just going to live together with the Twin’s wife and future kids like one big happy family and everyone ignores the fact that the head of the household still sneaks off to his twin brother’s bed and doesn’t allow his younger brother to wed into another family unless he also has ties with them and can incorporate spies into the household to keep an eye on him
WOAH what a question! LOVE THIS! Had so much fun thinking this over. I've strengthened their relationship in this rewrite and while it can be seen as a possessive relationship, it's very equal. Each see one another as extensions of their own self, they truly love the other.
I think the twin's plan was to marry strategically and produce heirs, as he would have had a lot of pressure to do this, but he would have chosen a wife who would have looked the other day or been truly ignorant to his obsessive, paranormal romance with his own brother. Two halves of a whole, there's no way a wife can worm her way between them.
And I have this headcanon that Vincent absolutely saw this coming and knew they'd emotionally gravitate around one another, and neither would fully flourish if they were dragged into each other's atmospheres, but he had no way to stop them. In many ways, the twin's death was the only thing that allowed Ciel to explore himself outside of that relationship and identity. I mean, they shared meals, beds, decisions, held hands, read each other's minds, felt each and every single physical and spiritual sensation the other did. While beautiful, Ciel was wholly defined by him, as was the twin defined by Ciel.
The twin would have sabotaged each and every marriage proposal Ciel ever got (while being encouraged by Ciel to do so). They would have lived in that mansion forever. God, could the twin have ever gotten the idea of a 'perfect heir' out of his mind, as fucked up as that is? Could Ciel? Ha, his poor wife. Everyone forced into their orbit.
Vincent watching their inherited dynasty slowly collapse inward under the weight of their own intimacy. The twin's struggle to be discrete while also being possessive, and inward, never really understanding what it means to love his brother in that way because they are so sheltered. From society, from reality. That ever consuming thought, an existential need to have an heir, a continuation of the Phantomhive twins. A continuation of them both.
It would have been so reckless.
