Do you reply to threads you have the most inspiration for first or do you work on them in the order in which you received them?

A little bit of column A, a little bit of column B. I make some effort to respond to older threads quickly, but I so tend to start off with the ones that catch my interest most and then filter down to the rest; if I start off with something that gets my juices flowing it can help get me into character to give better responses  to other threads than I might if I was just trying to get a reply out.

Though I think sometimes I’ve erred too far on that side and leave some older threads lingering too long XD

What subjects / genres do you find yourself becoming the most passionate about when you’re writing?

I already answered the general case of this one... sort of. I half answered it!! XD

So I’ll go into specific in the case of our writing together! When it comes to Ozen and Lyza interacting... the things that interest me most is the unshakeable, unmistakable understanding between them. These two ladies are on the surface as different from each other as they could possibly be; and they certainly don’t think alike, but they’ve walked a lot of the same ground and spent so much time with each other that they just click.

Even when Lyza first met Ozen, she was able to if not see through, at least see into Ozen’s brusque attitude and realize what kind of person it took to have that strength and resilience that she admired.

For a lot of the stuff we’ve written, the most fascinating parts have been brought out by the context we’ve placed them in, forcing those previously unspoken understandings- and misunderstandings to the surface, and really making them hash out what they feel and think about each other, dredging up all those hidden conceptions of each other and bringing them to the surface and really exploring the depths of why these women care so much about each other, why they delved together, and of course, why Lyza left and what it did to Ozen who before meeting Lyza had seemed content to be alone, but after she was gone, felt something deeply missing.

Of course, after covering a lot of that... it’s incredibly, heartwarmingly healing to just see those two stubborn old bitches actually being soft with each other and I can’t get enough of it~

Let me ask you: are you reading or watching anything you'd recommend right now? I'm reading Shimeji Simulation right now but i'm halfway through so i'm still undecided on how good it is.

Shimeji simulation is a bit of an odd one. Definitely needs to hit the right rhythm to be enjoyed.

As for my own recommendations... some of the things I've felt like pushing lately definitely fall into the trashy gender bender trans yuri category, and I've mentioned a few times recently.

Danshi Kokoseidakedo Gyaru ni TS Shimashita / I'm a High School Boy, but I Got Gender-Swapped into a Gyaru is one I'm keen on pushing lately- its a ridiculous zany comedy of over the top big-titted gyaru yuri cheesecake mixed with some of the most incredibly in your face unmistakable transfem anxieties you've ever seen. The most recent chapters have been really heavy on that focus too, going so far as to pump the brakes in between jokes for a flashback to "These other girls aren't just gay for gags, you have to take them seriously". It's good stuff. The other trashy TS yuri I've been into lately is My First Love is Too Embarrassing to Tell Anyone

Which is by the author of Oreimo, of all things. Who decided that the next best thing in the incest market was transgender yuri sister kissing with the most enthusiastically gender euphoric protagonist you could possibly have. There's no gradual frog boiling into acceptance here- just an instant thrilled response to getting to be girl and navigating the somewhat awkward experience of her super gay sister suddenly having no reason not to be head over heels for her, and the comedically transphobic childhood best friend love rival's futile attempts to convince her to change back. Trashy harem yuri stuff in force.

On the non-TS side of things I gotta spread the love for Dream Jumbo Girl, which is the latest Polyamorous romcom romp from the author of Kanojo-mo-Kanojo, who decided that obviously the best thing about that manga was the girls, and decided to just exclude boys and make it flat out yuri this time.

As for anime... there's a lot of very obviously good well known stuff this season.. Re-Zero, Dorohedoro, Witch Hat, Akane Banashi, MarriageToxin... So I'd probably draw attention to Yuusha no Kuzu as one of my surprise favourites that's currently airing.

Oh hell yes I absolutely am. I'm planning on getting the DLC myself anyways, but even with just the 2.0 patch i'd give it another shot just for the new features. The reworked skill trees just have so much more interesting things in them. Sure, there's still some passives around but theres a lot of new interesting unique abilities to use too, and the reworks to some of the tools are fascinating.

They made the Monowire a Hacking weapon!!! And Smart guns are intelligence too! They made snipers run on Cool instead of reflexes! You can dismember people with shotguns! A lot of the features are things you Want but nothing is really something you need and it genuinely makes me interested how I'm gonna plot that out.
