This interesting part about the furry con I went to over the weekend was that we were sharing the hotel with…many overseas FIFA fans…since Dallas is a host city for the World Cup. Most of them, of course, had absolutely no idea a furry convention was scheduled in their very own hotel, nor any idea what furries even are.
It was mostly just weird looks and stares but I did see one group posted on Facebook about it and had warmed up to it, even taking photos with fursuiters. I heard of surprisingly few standout negative interactions, other than parents kinda shielding their kids from us and walking quickly through the lobby areas 😭 And possibly a worse unconfirmed thing I wouldn’t want to spread rumors about?
Ultimately probably a very interesting situation for many people haha
