TXT ME! ────── ✦
CHIDORI BOYS headcanons ⌗🖥️ the different ways that they text
''🏷️ headcanons, might be a lil ooc
''🗯️ ────── I know that the manga already depicts the way they type but this is my headcanon / personal opinion on how they would!! feel free to reply or reblog with your own, i'd love to read some ^__^ ────── ✦ TSUMUGI RINTARO - uses capitals unless he's in a rush or fumbling out of his mind - doesn't bother with fullstops ever - only ever typos when he's nervous - breaks things up to 2 texts at most, more only if he's panicking - usually goes online quick after receiving a message but takes a long time to think on what he wants to reply with YORITA AYATO - proper caps and fullstops unless he's actually bone tired - typos once in a blue moon - types in one liners and sends as multiple texts - fastest replier you'll ever meet USAMI SHOHEI - quadruple texter or even more than that. he doesn't care about blowing up your notifications - either the fastest replier or he'll get back to you in 2 hours - keysmashes and spams in all caps when he gets excited - typos when he's rushed or hyped - autcorrect turned off (he's proud of it) NATSUSAWA SAKU - one liner response king - pretty fast typer with rare typos - tries to be proper with caps and punctuation at first, but he loses it the more you text - replies like an AI bot when he's tired or not in the mood to chat

It was nice to see a focus on Rintaro’s mom and a glimpse at this past this time. How they’ve supported him, how she’s tried to be there silently encouraging him while he deals with not fitting in. Her dying her hair, understanding how hard it is for him to express himself, the way they highlight her noticing his changes in expression and focus even when he doesn’t see it.
I think it highlights what it means to be a parent. That as kids and young adults we often don’t realize how much our parents notice about us. How much they’re changing about themselves and protecting our environment to keep us safe and help us grow. Rintaro noting his mom’s happiness when she meets his friends is significant. For her, the happiness isn’t about Rintaro changing and deciding to bring friends. No, the happiness is because he now has friends to bring and finally someone has seen in her son what she knew was there all along.
It’s difficult to watch a child struggle and feel helpless to change that for them. Her crying as she heard his friends tell him how much they appreciate and like him was the fulfillment of all her motherly wishes that someone could see in Rintaro all the things she saw were great, as it is for any loving parent. They see the beauty in their child and are just waiting for others who can admire the same. His coming to thank her for helping him was even deeper as it’s a child maturing and realizing that the person they are and the life they’re able to have often does come from their parents and the love they’ve been given. Although, I think for many parents, as we see with his mother’s smile when she sees Rintaro with his friends, their child’s happiness is a reward and thanks in and of itself.
he’s so cutesie.
