I think its really cool how Neil is so ? Accepting ? Of love? It's such a foreign concept to him and it usually makes him kinda awkward when people express love for him, but instead of blanking out when people try to care about him like characters who haven't been around love normally do, he recognizes ? All of it ? No matter how quietly or grumpily they express it ? He understands and h a p p i l y absorbs Kevin's awkward worry and Wymack's gruff caring and Abby's mom-ing and Matt/Dan's protectiveness and even when its awkward or it doesn't make sense to him he just soaks it up and it makes him so h a p p y. It reminds me of the concept of touch-starved, except with emotions. He is absolutely love starved so when people show him love it is very pure and good and I need a l w a y s more people loving Neil Josten.
