Rp blog for my oc Cinn, 21 y/o, they/she! They're in House Tigris (4th dorm created for a community on here).
Lore: The third child of a family of the lower nobility, they were sent off to become a nun at twelve years old. The nunnery she's lived in ever since serves a god of harmony, and these nuns believe that speaking only leads to discord, so they take a magically binding vow of silence. A temporary vow she took already made her mute during the seven years of her novitiate.
However, at 21, on the night before they were supposed to make their permanent vow, they ran away, not being so sure this life was what they wanted. They stayed with a family friend for a few months, before she heard the call for dragon riders and followed it.
Magic: They have sound powers - the ability to take someone's hearing or voice for a short period of time, to produce a soundwave that pushes someone away from her, and to summon a piercing noise that stops enemies in their tracks. Their dragon's name is Unity.
Personality: Because she hasn't spoken to anyone for seven years of her life, they're rather quiet and tend to come off as awkward. Still believing in the teachings of their god, she does everything to avoid conflicts with others, and honestly doesn't understand why people ever get into fights. There's a certain arrogance in that mindset, deep down.
They know a surprising amount about the things going on in the academy, considering she's rarely seen speaking to anyone. This is because they spent a lot of time studying or reading in some corner of a common room or the library, often unnoticed - and as a side effect of their magic, she's very good at hearing all the rumors spoken around her.
