THOSE WORDS CONTINUED TO CYCLE THROUGH his mind, a hand propped underneath his chin as he leaned against the rail. They were taking a ferry to AETHER PARADISE -- Kubo had reluctantly decided that, if he was going to better understand the KARTANA’S apparent predicament, then there was no better way to start than to look for some information.
He didn’t exactly trust their destination, though. Within the past few months, some rather recent events had given way to growing suspicion surrounding the Aether Foundation and its reputation. Kubo could only hope that Hanzo would not follow him here. For once, the boy was convinced he’d be SAFER by himself for a while.
So he stares at the vast stretch of blue, ignoring the wind and the water that threatened to splash into his hair as their little boat pressed on. EVENTUALLY he turns his head to his companions -- PRINCE had joined him, loyal as ever -- but he hadn’t expected a RIVAL of his to come along.
