I see a lot of people complain about limited time merch on Taylor's website and as an international fan I can totally relate, because tbh I don't always have money to buy something I really want (especially because if something costs 100$ I'd have to pay 350 PLN for that and that's way too much for a shirt if you're a student), but what I don't get is the fact that nobody sees anything bad in releasing four different deluxe versions with Taylor's diaries' pages and making fans buy all of them (because which fan wouldn't want to have every version, especially if Taylor writes posts about getting them all like the one she published recently).
And the reason behind these limited sales is the fact that people don't think whether they truly need this item or if they can afford it, because they know it will be gone in matter of hours - which makes profits go all the way up. Psychology in real life.
I mean I understand that's just how capitalism works, but as a person who is actually freaking rich that's just sad thing to do. And no, the fact she has to pay people who work for her is not a valid reason - you all act like you don't understand how much she earns (even from YouTube and Spotify). So yea, in conclusion life is unfair and every celebrity wants to earn as much as possible... Even if it's Taylor, who is already the highest paid one. π
And the last thing - Stella McCartney tries to make her clothes cruelty free and good for our planet and that's truly amazing, but I feel like this time she missed the whole point. Because if you like it or not capitalism is destroying our planet. And fashion industry is the second worst if it comes to producing pollution. π Soooo don't buy stuff you don't really need and think about choices you make. π€·
