Every morning here in America, we wake up to two different Americas.
June 11, 2025 edition
This is the one where the LA protests were (rightly) shut down for the night via curfew. A few troublemakers got detained and probably charged. Most of the LAPD had nothing to do and a whole lot of of national guardsmen and marines really had nothing to do. A crowd who is notorious for hating and disrespecting cops obeyed the curfew with an actually shocking degree of self-control, considering what is at stake.
And this is the other America. Oh, it was so horrible! Chaos everywhere! Invading aliens and enemies! Utter insanity, only barely checked by our battered heroes! Maybe if we overlap two images of people standing still and two cars it'll look unhinged. Maybe a flashlight will look like fire? Remember these are LAWLESS RIOTS.
Are all these images real? I assume so. Angry protests are always going to have trouble makers. And a desperate demagogue trying to manufacture an insurrection is always going to look like a fraud.
Remember one thing. Whatever comes next, it will come because our president wanted it. Because he needed it. He took away our constitutional right to protest yesterday and the consequences are on his hands.
