In Lower Decks the name of the Texas Class ship the Cerritos is in competition with in the season finale being The Aledo is extremely funny to me as a Texan because Aledo is a real small town with an obnoxiously rich population and they pour all their money into overkilling every school UIL extra curricular. Sports, marching band, even junk like one act theater and debate team. Their mission in life is to pawn everyone in their division and they’re super smug about it. I don’t know if it is a coincidence or not but it’s absolutely hilarious that they named the ship after them. It’s like this secret King of the Hill level Texan joke just popping up like a prairie dog and I love it. Really made me chuckle.
I had Frito pie for dinner on New Year’s.
