I was thinking about this at work earlier and it’s kind of interesting how Sylvarant and Tethe’alla have the same currency since as far as each world knows, the other doesn’t really exist outside of really old stories and a select few people that know the truth.
Imagine if there were two different currencies though.
The gang from Sylvarant come from a small town as it is. Most of them likely already know how to hunt, and Genis has black magic so getting by without useful currency wouldn’t be much of a stretch for them until they obtained their own.
Now, Zelos is loaded, people recognize him even in different cities in Tethe’alla. Imagine them being back at Sylvarant(or Zelos is there solo for whatever reason) but Zelos has no idea about the currency difference until he tries to buy something and the shopkeeper thinks he’s trying to pull something on them. This is a completely different world and no one knows who Zelos is. He’s the broke one here.
I feel there is fic potential for something.
