Deaf ballerina darling
Dazai Osamu
đ€âDazai has always had a tendeny to be a bit more theatrical and all that intensifies when he is around you. As you cannot hear or at least can hardly hear, Dazai develops a tendency to express his own emotions through excessive and exaggerated use of facial expressions and body language. If he at the very least would shut up about it, Kunikida would be somewhat content. For some reason Dazai continues talking though even though you are deaf, each word slow and dragged out so that you have a chance of reading his lips. That being said, Dazai does love sneaking up on you and hovering behind you without you noticing him for a while. It makes stalking a whole lot easier as he only has to stay out of your line of vision to avoid getting caught as you tend to not even hear him when you walk through more isolated parts of the town and he is the only one around. And how could he deny his belladonna her passion of dancing? As possessive as he can get, Dazai doesn't hold you back from practicing ballet. Instead he's surprisingly supportive as he even helps you practicing in his own messy apartment. However, he can get somewhat jealous at times when he realises others gawking at you during your performances.
Mori Ougai
đ·âYour disability is far more endearing to the mafioso than it should be precisely because it gives Mori an advantage he loves to use against you. It is very amusing how he is able to take calls about bloody business and have them in your presence, talking quick on purpose so you are only able to catch fragments of the conversation which often lead you to doubt your own abilities to read lips due to some words you believe you catch. Whenever you ask him about it afterwards, he merely signals you that you must have misread him. He plays that game for quite a while until he decides to end it as he would like to claim you permanently for himself now, writing you a letter detailing his true profession as well as his plans for the future which include you. It's so adorable watching the terror slowly wash over you as you reas through everything. However, he is very adamant that you continue your little performances though now with only him and Elise as your only audience. After all he has ordered such lovely outfits for you and he would love nothing more than see you dance for him in every single one of them. If you choose to act difficult he loves to confuse you by uttering threats you cannot make out, only enhancing your unease.
Nakahara Chuuya
đ âDear God, Chuuya can certainly be a bit too much at times. He already has a terrible overprotective streak going on but obviously with you being unable to hear, this only becomes much worse. Somehow you have a feeling that he seems to confuse your deafness with a full inability to live a normal life which is more insulting than soothing as he treats you as if you would shatter like porcelain otherwise. You don't like how he always insists on accompanying you or how you always have to communicate with him by sending him messages when he is busy with his job. It feels like you're being treated like a child when in reality you are still capable of leading a normal life even with your disability. You have this type of conversation often with Chuuya and he always apologises and pampers you with gifts only to repeat the same behavior soon after as if unable to act differently. The only time where you feel like he is actually letting you have some autonomy is when you are doing ballet. Just for those moments it feels like Chuuya is actually being able to recognise that you can do things like everyone else can despite your deafness. Your performances are so utterly enamoring and he definitely asks you in private if you could perform for only him.
Fyodor Dostoevsky
đâIn his own worldview your deafness may as well be considered a reason why you are less tainted than most other people. You can hear no evil which gives you a certain pureness others simply do not have. However, it also makes you more vulnerable which thrills Fyodor almost in his sadistic ways. Obviously he has to lock you away and hide you to prevent you from being tainted by sin still as it seems to be human nature to do so yet his isolation doesn't mean safety. Not when he feels the need to torment you to keep you from ever turning into the very evil he has to cleanse the world of. However, his terrifyingly gentle behavior whilst inflicting such pain upon you is its own kind of terror. He speaks slow and even patiently repeats himself, giving you a chance to read his lips. He learns sign language or simply grabs your hand to draw letters on your palm with his cold fingers. He needs you to understand his words after all. Your skills in ballet captivate him though and soon you are forced to dance for him for hours on end. Ballet is a beautiful form of art after all and if you are too occupied with ballet, you cannot have sinful thoughts. So perform for him whilst he guides your movements with his cello until you nearly collapse.
Jouno Saigiku
âŠïžâOne more joke from Teruko's side about how the two of you are indeed two lacking peas in a pod and Jouno is going to forget that she is his Vice-Captain. However, even he cannot deny the irony of being blind himself and falling in love with you who happens to be deaf. He has never been forced to adjust quite as much before as with you being deaf come new challenges. He certainly doesn't mind scaring you at times but as he has been trained to always approach quietly, you always get startled when he appears seemingly out of nowhere which leads him to have to announce his presence somehow by stomping so that you can sense the vibrations. He has to speak slowly and even repeat himself so that you can read his lips which requires patience he never had to use before as people normally immediately follow his commands. The sense of touch and body language becomes much more important as he can't see and you can't hear. Personally he doesn't mind most of the times to allow you to continue to perform ballet though he can get certainly bitter at times. Whenever Teruko praises your performances or Tetchou talks about your skills, Jouno feels disgustingly close to jealous because he cannot see.
Suehiro Tetchou
đžâTetchou truly only means well but he tends to give you the impression that he thinks of you as more incapable due to you being deaf. His own teammate is blind yet when you bring that up to him, he brushes it off. Jouno is different after all. He isn't you. You're lovable and soft. It's this mindset which leads him to be much more protective of you as a result and he may not even realise initially how his behavior makes you feel like you are less. Your one big advantage is that you can openly communicate with Tetchou about most things which includes his behavior, leading him to apologise and promise to try to be less overbearing. Due to your inability to hear sounds, Tetchou begins to get louder somewhat. He stomps on the ground so that you can notice him when he walks towards you and he begins to idly trace letters on your arms or your back with his fingers as a form of communication. Your hobby to perform ballet is one he supports as he may even try to use his influence to score you main roles in plays you audition for though he doesn't tell you this. He can only pray that he can make time in his schedule for your performances too. Otherwise he is going to sulk for quite a while after which you can only soothe by performing for him.
Nikolai Gogol
đïžâGosh, aren't you just sweet enough to eat up? Quite obviously someone as performative as Nikolai would find your deafness very cute. His whole personality relies on performances and quizzes though he considers himself caring enough to modify his games so you too won't miss out on the fun he provides you with. Sure, this may include spelling things out in big bloody letters but it would be much more cruel of him to leave you out of his fun, wouldn't it? His theatrical antics are multiplied as he really wants to convey his messages to you which in return only turn out more gruesome and bloody as a result as the horror of sound is taken away from you which leads him to amp up the horror he can make you fell through your remaining senses. Though he supposes that it is fun that he can just sneak up on you and frighten you every single time either by pressing a harmless kiss on your cheek or suddenly holding you at knife point. Both is fun. However, never accuse him of not supporting your passion of ballet. Look! He even prepares entire stages for you! He even gathers co-stars though the only true star is going to be you by the end of every performance. After all you will be the only one still alive by the end of the stage play.
Sigma
âïžâAs a man brimming with insecurities, Sigma manages to always find his own flaws everywhere. After all here he is, positively panicking most of the times whilst you are deaf and still manage to be in such control of your life and your surroundings. God, he really is pathetic. With your deafness come the sleepless nights though he spends studying this disability and how to accurately behave. He even learns sign language in record time because he skips sleep all of the time though it definitely is worth it when he notices how pleasantly surprised you are when he uses it. He speaks slowly and always repeats himself when it looks like you didn't read his lips properly, even carries around paper and pen so he can scribble something down to have you understand things easier. Even through those insecurities he still finds himself isolating you and trapping you in his casino out of that lingering paranoia that someday something will happen to you and you won't hear it coming. Out of guilt he lets you continue ballet though even if he doesn't want to let you perform in front of others. Whether out of fear that you'll be targeted or a simple jealousy of allowing others to admire you and adore you is up for discussion. You can have your stage but no audience.
