Yeah I remember when along the process, my foolish self thought I’d keep up with a video diary, but I watched what few early vids I took and 🤭 I was so pleased with my progress!! Because I hear myself every day, and so does my sister who I live with, we both took a while to notice. “Oh!? Your voice is lower??”/“My voice is lower?? My voice is lower!!”” [then we bass-ed off. I won 🤗]
I distinctly remember this one occasion where I met up with a friend who I hadn’t seen in person for half a year at that point, and she asked me, “Hey are you okay? Your voice sounds different. Are you sick?” and it!! Was!! The!! Best!!! I still flinch internally when I hear myself pre-T, but remembering it’s a permanent change is reassuring 😤
